One Small Seed Newsletter – Edition #237, December 2020

Season’s Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in whom I will praise with my whole heart, soul, mind, and spirit. During this season of reflection and celebration, I affirm that He is the sustainer and Savior of the world. Confidence in His power assures me that He will fulfill all He has promised. The gift of an extended life, both in this world and in eternity, is something I wholeheartedly believe He has granted me. Denying His work in my life would bring Him dishonor, and that is something I will never do. Teaching gloom and doom is not my calling, for my dwelling is in His Kingdom, where the brightness of His glory never fades and the darkness of this world has no place.
My prayer is that the U.S. will quit staring into the darkness of this world and look to the brightness of the Son. That is where salvation lays, he alone contains all the truth and it’s He alone who really cares. It’s He alone who should receive the praise for all the goodness, mercy, and grace. He can be our first responder and the doctor to heal our problems. Listen to what he said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land- God” KJV
Celebrating Light this Season
We don’t need artificial lights to celebrate the Son he is the only light we need. The news media says, look to us, we tell the truth, but their light is so dim the truth is distorted. The Kingdom of the Son is so well lit, there are no shadows there; “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” (Revelation 21:23). The Son told me in John 3:16 That:
“God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”
I accepted that promise in March of 1957 at the age of eleven.
The Son is not a religious icon nor is He a figment of someone’s imagination. He is God in expression and revelation and He is the judgment of truth, which he so graciously inspired God fearing men to write. The Son told me in John 12:46 and I quote:
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Again He told me in John 8:31-32,
“If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.
He is so omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, how could anyone not want him in their life?
I am ending this small seed with a prayer from King David, which I accept with all my heart in these times of rejoicing.
From Psalms 9:
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.
When mine enemies are turned back they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne, judging right.
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name forever and ever.
And they that know thy name
Will seek to be made free.
Repent from all their shame
And put their trust in thee.
For thou, O Lord has not
Betrayed the frail and weak
Nor tried to use a blot
Forsaking those that seek.
But God shall not endure
Transgressions of a fool;
With intent right and pure
He'll send them back to school.
And if the school shall fail
With judgment pure and right
His mercy will prevail
But they will lose their fight.
God bless you in this Season.
Your friend in Christ,
Rodney Roberts
