One Small Seed Newsletter – Edition #257, September 2022
Greetings,
In September of 1994, I sent out my first “One Small Seed”. I did this because I was inspired in my spirit to do this and it became a part of my ministry. It is my witness to what I have learned about God and my desire to share with whosoever is willing to listen. Without bumping into the boundaries of any persons, I have tried to avoid any offense, but it is difficult sometimes to stay within that one inch limit.
Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the information that our environment contains in the natural sense, but I am also overwhelmed by the spiritual activity that is behind the scenes in this environment. My philosophy is that when God created man he expected him to learn and appreciate the natural laws as well as the spiritual laws. In my case, while I was learning and living in this natural world, God was teaching me about spiritual truth. Of course the best place to learn spiritual truth is in the Book, that stresses spiritual truths, that were written by men who were inspired by God; and this Book is the Bible.
The Key to this book is to answer the questions: who, what, when, where, why and how. Very simply the answers are: Who? The communion between our Creator and every soul born upon this earth. What? Because of His love he wishes every soul to follow His guidance. When? Right now. Where? Anywhere and everywhere. Why? Once again, because he loved the whole world that he gave his Son (His Word) that whosoever believeth (accepts and follows) in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (In this world and the hereafter)- John 3:16. How? Because he loved so much, he established all that he needed to do before he created the soul of man so that all we had to do was say yes, I believe, I accept and I will follow. The good thing about this is, no one has to be in a public forum, it is between you and God.
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Whenever we open our soul to his presence, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit move in and become your comforter and guide. Your destiny is sealed and your body, soul, mind, and spirit can rejoice. Then, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:17 & 18: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the Hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the Saints is.
I have heard for a long time that “the beginning of a long journey is with the first step”. The key to this statement is the “first step” in the process, which starts with: plan, prepare, and proceed. When Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, he was referring to his position as the expressed Word of God. He also was pointing out that within the environment of Truth there is life and he also said, that it is the Truth that will make us free. Since breaking laws is a transgression of truth and considered a sin in our text, free means if we live by the truth we would be free from the consequences of sin, find peace in a chaotic world and enjoy the presence of God eternally.
The Psalmist wrote in Psalms 118:24-25A: This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord.
2 Corinthians 6:2 For he (God) said, I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of Salvation I have helped you: behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation.
Exodus 12:14: And this day shall be unto you a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generation (natural life and into eternity).
John 14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him (that person).
John 14:23: Jesus answered and said… If a man (person) love me, he will keep my words. And my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode (or dwelling) with him. When he said he or him he was referring to the soul of any person.
My heart’s desire is that you love God with all your spirit, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself: commandment one and two. Just remember, tomorrow never comes, it’s always today.
Your friend in Christ,
Rodney Roberts
