One Small Seed Newsletter – Edition #264, April 2022

With hope that your day is filled with peace, love, and joy: I send greetings.
The ninth was Easter, a day that is celebrated by millions each year, but sadly it is only appreciated by those who are true believers in the meaning. One dictionary said it is the celebration of Christ in his resurrection, but they failed to mention all the other attributes of what he did and should be incorporated into the celebration. There was not one moment that stole the show from all the other hours of his work. It’s like the saying that the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. It is a process and each step is as important as the first.
I think it is great that we have times of the year that we can bring to the attention of all people that we are Christians and we still have the rights of Christians to celebrate the God that we serve. But I also think that we should celebrate with the body of Christ, every moment that we have in this world by displaying a Godly lifestyle. This is what Jesus taught and showed unto us and now we have no excuse. Every aspect, or part of his world while in the flesh has a story to be told and the resurrection is one of the parts of that story.
I’ll give a brief example for what I mean. His resurrection is meaningless without his burial and the burial would be meaningless without his death. The death would not be possible without his birth and the birth would have been without worth if he hadn’t fulfilled the work that God the Father had sent him to do. Whenever we say the name Jesus, all of his attributes, which are the attributes of the whole Essence of God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), should flood our spirit, soul and mind and cause us to celebrate.
The dictionary gives more than one definition for the word celebrate: One is commemorate a day or event with festivities, ceremonies and etc; Another is to perform rites and another is to make known with honor or praise; to extol. From my perspective, I use the last definition, which I have proved by over forty years of teaching, writing and lifestyle. This same approach was taken by the Apostle Paul (and millions more) and proved by his writing, like in 1 Timothy 1:17: “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen”.
One of the blessings that God has bestowed upon us is: We have personal relationship with him and are duty bound and obligated by his commands and judgments and not by the opinions of others (unless their educated opinions are verified by the truth. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy1:15 that: “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of which he was chief”. The John reminds us in John 3:14-15: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up (crucified): That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life“. John 11:25-26 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die”. Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended (laid hold of): but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
