One Small Seed Newsletter – Edition #256, August 2022
Greetings from my heart:
I mentioned at the end of last month’s One Small Seed that I would continue the subject this month. I ended the last paragraph of that lesson with this statement: Then He (God) presented to the soul of man a way to navigate the world of man without becoming an addicted servant of that world. The essence of that way is the Truth from God, the offspring of his Love, His mighty Word and the salvation of all men. So let’s talk about the way.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life and when he said this he was referring to the fact that he was the expressed will of God. Let me give an example. In Genesis 1:3 it says: “and God said, Let there be light: and there was light”. When God “said”, he was expressing his will and through his expression his will was accomplished. When Christ said, I am the way, the truth, and the life he was identifying his true self in a created world, and to a created world. God the Father did all the work to bring all of the things that Jesus said about himself into a natural state, but Jesus fulfilled all the substance that was needed for the soul of man to dwell in a spiritual state.
In the spiritual state of the soul there can be love, joy, and peace, if the soul allows the Holy Spirit of God to come into it. This can only happen if the carnal aspect of our natural mind is kept submissive to the Truth. The truth means those things that the Holy God has addressed continually in his Word. It is those things that have been proven, tested, and verified over and over again, from Genesis 1:1 through today. All we need to do is let our mental faculties accept these things. Mental faculties are reason, logic, reality, and deduction and only humans have these things completely.
One thing to remember is, we have a soul in us where God and all his attributes can dwell. It is up to us to make that decision. When he comes in, we can have a personal relationship with him in the spirit, because he is a spirit. When we communicate to him it is within us and not something we have to do in a building up the road. Our relationship with him, and all other like minds, is not a religion, but it is a communion of like minds. The ingredients for this relationship is faith and love. Faith in the only true God and love for every soul. Remember, it is a spiritual relationship.
Deep down in the recesses of our soul we have a propensity to worship the God of creation and sometimes, because of our not knowing how to do this, we create ways to express our feelings. But the good news is this, we don’t need to create anything. When the spirit, soul, and mind awakens to the fact that they desire to commune with their creator and they open the door to what has been outside all the time, the communion will begin instantly. Then in the privacy of our own self, our spirit will commune with the Holy Spirit. There are no rituals to perform, no stumbling blocks that can stop the flow of God’s Spirit and no religion that can hinder God’s will in our new life.
When we love God and draw closer to him in the Holy Spirit, we can resist the compulsions of anti-God spirits and God will respond with grace and truth and give us the strength we need for the moment. God loves us beyond measure , but when he said “Be ye holy, for I am holy” he was simply reminding us that there is a way, a truth and a life that we must follow to make sure we don’t get off the path.
The propensity to serve God was placed in the soul of man when God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life at creation. It is a personal gift from God to all souls, but it at times is hindered by the will of the carnal mind of man to bring pleasure to our God, the God of creation. This is why Jesus said, if we love him we will keep his sayings, we will love God with all our spirit, soul and mind, we will love our neighbor, our enemies and ourselves. Because what God has done for us he has done for every soul. God Bless.
